iPhone – New Waze updates for iPhone and CarPlay are now available to everyone

Waze is seen by many as a major alternative to Google Maps and Apple Maps because it can provide drivers with the functionality they need to avoid traffic jams and find specific destinations more quickly.
Like Android and Android Auto, Waze receives regular updates on the iPhone as well. CarplayAnd with this month’s new release, the app is now version 4.74.
According to the official Change log, The parent company has added a new fix specifically intended that the photo will be cropped correctly when adding it to the location.
Needless to say, further improvements may be made internally. In particular, the latest test version released as part of the private beta program adds reliability and stability enhancements.
And there’s no doubt that Waze needs to be refined, especially when it comes to CarPlay.
The app has been running on CarPlay for months already and users are complaining about various issues. Audio errors can break everything, or Waze itself loses its GPS connection and can’t figure out where the user is.
One of the recent glitches I’ve experienced with CarPlay’s Waze is about how maps are loaded on the iPhone 12 Pro. Ways The UI is displayed correctly, but no street or POI information is displayed. This means that every time you connect your iPhone to the head unit, CarPlay will display a blank map.
The workaround is as simple as possible, but not very convenient, especially if you are in a hurry. The only thing I have to do is close Waze on my iPhone and force the app to reload in CarPlay as well. At this point, the map will load correctly until I reconnect my phone.
