PS5 – PS5 stock set to go back on sale at Argos from next week after huge supply drop
PS5 stock is set to go on sale at Argos again from early next week, according to reports.
The retailer is rumoured to have received its shipment of Disc and Digital consoles and will open orders once again this Tuesday (Aug 10).
Earlier this week, The @PS5UKStock Twitter account said: “News: We can confirm Argos Hubs are fully stocked with #PS5 units but won’t be dropping tomorrow.
“The ‘earliest’ order in date on the system, from experience, suggests it will go live the morning of 10th August. This is not guaranteed and can change.”
Later, the account added: “We’ve been informed next week’s Argos drop will have Digital consoles as well but they are very limited.”
Despite launching more than half a year ago demand for the PS5 console is still high due to a combination of skyrocketing interest in gaming as well as production issues related to the pandemic.
Other retailers such as GAME, Very and Currys are also stating future stock will soon become available. However, they’re selling out quick.
Studio announced some PS5 stock today, which sold out instantly. The company wrote on its website: “Please keep checking Instagram, Twitter and Facebook for any updates – we’ll have more stock soon.”

Similarly, Smyths opened pre-orders for the console early this week – and sold out just an hour after the announcement.
OnBuy seems to be one of the only online stores with an abundance of stock – but be warned, prices are high.
In fact, the white PS5 console is currently listed at £654.90 – more than £200 higher than Argos’ selling price.
