Xiaomi – Providing a breath of fresh air at mega vaccination centre
IN supporting the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme, a technology company has presented air purifiers to the nation’s first mega vaccination centre at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (Mitec).
Xiaomi Malaysia, in providing 30 units of Mi Air Purifier 3C, said the contribution was aimed at helping frontliners and those receiving their Covid-19 shots to breathe better.
The company also provided the centre with 200 units of 20,000mAh Redmi 18W Fast Charge Power Bank, also for the benefit of frontliners and individuals getting vaccinated.
In declaring its support for the immunisation programme, Xiaomi general manager (Malaysia and Singapore) Nicolas Shi said he was proud that the company was able to serve a greater cause.
“We hope the Mi Air Purifiers and power banks will help facilitate a comfortable environment for all,” he added.
The company stated that its purifier efficiently removed fine particles like dust, airborne bacteria and other harmful particles, with 360° circulation for high-speed purification that provided fresh air in an instant.
Meanwhile, the contribution of power banks was to enable frontliners to help power up their devices, ensuring that they are always connected with their families and co-workers while enabling efficient productivity at the vaccination centres.
In thanking the company, National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme coordinating minister Khairy Jamaluddin, who is also Science, Technology and Innovation Minister, said he
appreciated the support given by Xiaomi Malaysia towards the programme at such a critical time.
