The display of smartphones has been undergoing development for the past few years. A couple of years ago, we had to settle for the huge top bezel which hosts the front camera sensors. With the arrival of the iPhone X, we had a new era of a notch display. Subsequently, we have had other display designs like the waterdrop display, pop-up camera, slide screen, punch-hole camera, and most recently, the under-screen camera technology. As of now, only ZTE has mass-produced the under-screen camera technology. However, there are reports that other companies like Xiaomi and Samsung also have under-screen camera technology.

ZTE Vs Xiaomi Vs Samsung – which will be the best?
According to the popular leakster, @IceUniverse, there will be two aspects to the under-screen camera technology. We will have the screen display quality as well as the image quality aspect. The report claims that for the under-screen display effect, we will have Xiaomi > ZTE > Samsung. However, in terms of the under-screen camera effect, we will have Samsung > Xiaomi > ZTE.
We can see that whether it’s in terms of screen effect or image output effect, ZTE is not tops. Regarding this report, ZTE’s executive, Lu Qianhao, had a lot to say. According to him, there is no need to worry. After the smartphones hit the public domain, he calls on “friends” to buy these devices for comparison.
Furthermore, he claims that ZTE Axon 30 under-screen camera phone has the “best under-screen display effect on earth so far”. Also, he said that “it is also very likely to be the best under-screen camera phone within the price of 5,000 yuan ($774) in the next three quarters”.
From the information so far, Xiaomi’s first under-screen camera smartphone will be in the MIX series. The name of this smartphone has been widely reported to be the Xiaomi Mi MIX 4. As for Samsung, its first mass-produced commercial under-screen camera phone is Galaxy Z Fold3.
Interestingly, all these products will officially arrive in August. The Xiaomi Mi MIX 4 will come with a hyperboloid screen as well as the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 Plus flagship processor. There are reports that both the performance and the image quality will exceed the ZTE Axon 30 lower screen version. Of course, as a high-end flagship, the price of the Mi MIX 4 will be much higher than that of the ZTE Axon 30 under-screen version.
Which of these smartphones do you think will be more attractive? Could it be the ZTE Axon 30, Xiaomi Mi MIX 4, or the Samsung Galaxy Fold3? Let us know your thoughts in the comment section below
